Hollistic Sports Nutrition for Blistering Performance and Kick-Ass Living delivered by a GP
My name is Dr Will Mangar and i am a General Practitioner in Kent with a special interest in hollistic medical nutrition but also alternative sports nutrition. As a local GP I have watched the health of a nation struggle with rapid changes in so-called acceptable dietary practices that our bodies were not designed for and i have devoted my career to broadcasting the message of ancestral eating approaches for recovery from obesity and chronic medical diseases such as diabetes.
However, a passionate national level time triallist (national team time trial bronze medal winner, National 10mile TT Team Gold 2010) and GB triathelite i have always fostered a very keen interest in the awesome power of personally selected food and good nutrition for blistering performance in competition. Throughout a painstaking 10 year process of self experimentation, biohacking* and sheer trial and error, i have gained a comprehensive knowledge of techniques and practices for strategic feeding for the sports that I love. I have complied a large databank of rigorous evidence-based scientific knowledge from searches within the available literature, speaking to experts and leading figures in their fields from professional and amateur sport in order to have devised the FuuDude Theory.
Not only i am i keen to improve athelete experience and competition times from smart eating but i also try to provide my clients with the means to experience all day energy and zip for their jobs and family when not in the exercised state. All too often stellar atheletes fail to make the grade as husbands, wifes or parents as we are too fatigued to really enjoy our personal lives from under-fuelling or mis-fuelling. Over the past few years i have biohacked myself to develop more energy on the bike but more importantly in my personal life as i became frustrated with my family and workcolleagues getting left with a 'second rate Dr Will' having spent all my beans on my precious racing. By changing my nuritional priorities, i have become leaner and faster on the bike, lighter for my runs, more fish like for swimming but fantastically i have awesome levels of energy for my other priorites in life. I have become BulletProof**My aim is to show as many people in their chosen sport this true path and let them decide the outcome, challenge conventional wisdoms and shft paradigms, pose questions to what were always told to do and not being afraid to shift our gaze off centre a bit.
