This edition kicks off with the delectable "Strings Intro" from our Welsh wizard Culprit 1, which is just a little taster from a selection of new material from him - more to come soon. Gothenburg's finest Plej and Cloud both showcase their blend of deep, chilled house grooves, while Ernesto adds a sprinkling of soul to the proceedings.
John Beltran's "Expecting Rain" features intelligent and emotive beats, and despite dropping on exceptional back in 1992, it evokes the same feeling of the urban soundscapes produced more recently by Burial and the dubstep generation. Which leads us neatly into Planas' killer remix of Culprit 1's new single "Screamer" (out now on iTunes and Beatport), an organic concoction of luscious pads, addictive acid lines and rolling bass.

Since day one, exceptional's mission has been to focus on left field dance artists, always with the emphasis on quality rather than quantity. Over the past few years we've deliberately hopped and skipped our way across a mix of our favourite styles and genres - from deep house and electronica to breakbeat, hip hop and techno, we like to keep things more than a little unpredictable...
The exceptional family of artists is always growing, and as the label gets bigger and bigger we thought it might be an idea to groups thing together a little bit. So moving forward there's now two homes for our exceptional sounds...
If you're into your beats, bleeps and basslines with an eye and ear firmly in the club, then look no further than exceptional black label. It's the new place for The Rogue Element's twisted electrifying sounds and Nursery of Naughtiness' razor-sharp beats - plus plenty more dancefloor mayhem in between.
